World Series Game Two - Preview

Game Two

Opponent
: Colorado Rockies

Park: Fenway Park

Pitchers: Curt Schilling (8-9, 3.97) vs. Ubaldo Jimenez (4-4, 4.28)

Stat of the Day: In 11 1/3 innings in the post-season Jimenez has walked eight hitters.

Randomness: Jimenez is a hard thrower who will get into the high-90s. His issue will be his control as this is something he has struggled a bit with at all levels. He’s not a Daniel Cabrera type or anything but he does issue the base on balls. What will be important for him tonight is not how many strikes he throws but when he throws them. If he can get strike one over he’ll be able to get the Sox chasing out of the strike zone. If he is falling behind Boston has demonstrated that they can make that really hurt.
